Create a Disk Image
If your RPi is already up and running, you can skip ahead to Installing Dependencies.
Step 1. Download and Install Raspberry Pi Imager
Use the Raspberry Pi Imager to write an operating system to your microSD card. Raspberry Pi OS Lite is suggested. It's an official, lightweight Linux distribution built for Pi and comes with essential components pre-installed. It's ideal for headless or automated setups.
Step 2. Preconfigure Settings
The Imager allows you to preconfigure Wi-Fi credentials and create a root user account. If you plan to push source code to your Raspberry Pi over the local network, it's a good idea to assign a static IP address to the Raspberry Pi in your router settings.
